ACAMS Airport Tower Solutions has been selected to deliver its ATIS solution for seven airports and one air traffic control centre across West Malaysia, supporting the modernization of aeronautical information services for Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia.
ACAMS’ ATIS platform enables the automated distribution of critical operational and weather information to pilots and controllers, helping airports improve operational efficiency, information accuracy, and service continuity. Designed around open and scalable architectures, the solution can evolve from smaller airport environments to highly complex international operations.
The project highlights one of ACAMS’ core strengths: flexibility. According to William Yap, Regional Manager Asia Pacific, the company’s ability to adapt the system architecture and functionality to customer-specific operational requirements proved essential during the tender process. Rather than imposing a fixed configuration, ACAMS demonstrated how the solution could scale according to operational complexity, budget expectations, and future growth scenarios.
The Malaysian deployment covers seven airports and one air traffic control centre demonstrates the platform’s capability to support multi-airport environments. While the current configuration relies on individual server infrastructures for each airport, the ACAMS architecture also supports centralized operations where multiple airports can eventually be managed from a shared infrastructure if required in the future. This scalability and evolutionary approach were important differentiators during the evaluation process.
The project was delivered together with TM Technology Services Sdn Bhd, whose strong local presence and operational expertise supported the successful positioning of the solution. The combination of technical maturity, operational flexibility, and future scalability helped position ACAMS as a strong long-term technology partner for the project.
Building on experience gained from highly demanding deployments such as Singapore, ACAMS was able to demonstrate advanced functionality and future-proof capabilities that exceeded the immediate requirements of the Malaysian airports while allowing room for future operational expansion.
Today, ACAMS continues to strengthen its presence across Asia-Pacific, working closely with regional partners and aviation authorities to deliver adaptable ATM and tower solutions tailored to local operational needs.
